All of our expeditions are completely tailored to your needs – if you’re undecided about where to go, just call us, we love sharing ideas. The world really is your oyster!

  • Experience a very different culture

By immersing yourselves in the bustle of China’s bright and vibrant cities you will get an immediate sense of this enduring culture. Depending on the time of travel you may experience one of China’s iconic festivals. Cuisine plays a big part in Chinese culture, resulting in delicious and varied dishes, and so a stop at one of the many food stalls is a must!

  • Explore a new landscape

China boasts many spectacular and untamed landscapes that provide plenty of trekking opportunities. Teams can trek in the Yunnan province to the famous Jade Dragon Snow Mountain or choose to visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge - one of the world’s deepest gorges. For those seeking more of a challenge, trek through the valleys surrounding Minya Gònggá- a holy Tibetan mountain where trails take you through alpine forests and grasslands, passing the Gònggá temples and taking in a summit or two along the way.

  • Be part of a global community

Teams can assist in a variety of environmental or community-based projects whilst in China. The team could work with an established conservation group on an array of environmental tasks. Working with the local community will really enrich your team’s experience of Chinese culture.

  • Learn something important

China is brimming with history, and there is no better symbol of it than The Great Wall. Built to protect China’s first emperor and winding its way through seventeen provinces, no trip would be complete without seeing it! Teams can also visit The Forbidden City, a UNESCO World Heritage site, once home to China’s reining emperors. Walk through the grand gates, wander the vast halls and marvel at the exquisite red and yellow architecture whilst learning about China’s fascinating past.

What to expect

  • Terrain

From lush countryside to mountains and rivers, the variety of terrain means there are many options to explore on foot which can be chosen to suit the team’s capabilities.

  • Weather

July, before the rainy season, is a popular time to visit, but can get very hot. The Autumn months are a great time to travel. The rainy season is over, temperatures are cooler and tourist numbers drop, allowing you to witness this country in its undisturbed glory.

  • Culture

China’s culture traces back thousands of years, and components of their culture including cuisine, festivals and martial arts still very much dominate this vast country.

We’re always happy to talk travel and would love to find out more about your ideas.

Please do call or email us for more information, to organise a first meeting, or even just for a chat. We’ll be delighted to hear from you.
